A could of weeks ago (mid Oct) we decided that we were going to relocate to the Maritimes in order to be closer to our kids. We immediately decided that we were going to use Yvan Rhéaume as a realtor as we had used him when we purchased and had a great experience. Upon contacting Yvan he immediately started to work on providing us a suggested list price, providing examples of other homes similar to ours that had recently sold. We were happy with his suggestions as well as his marketing plan for our house which included a hone inspection, staging, professional photos, walk through video, drone footage of our property, a website and YouTube video as well as brochures that provided extensive details about what our house had to offer. After his visit, he immediately put the sign up, which also included a « coming soon to realtor.ca ». No detail was left out. When the house hit the MLS the listing indicated that showings would commence on Friday 30 Oct 2020, and that offers would be reviewed on Monday 2 Nov 2020. It stated that the sellers may review « bully » offers prior to 2 Nov. we had received a couple of bully offers but there was so much interest in our house that Yvan suggested that we remove this caveat so we did as we had trust in what Yvan was doing. During the weekend when the showings started we had to move into a hotel as the showings were back to back for three days. A total of 43 showings. The Monday following the showings Yvan started to receive the offers and sending them to us. By the time this was done we had received 9 offers, all of which were over list price, which no conditions. My husband and I were blown away with what was happening. Being former military we have bought and sold a lot of houses and not once did we ever experience working with a realtor like Yvan. He exudes professionalism, integrity and ethics coupled with his extensive experience in dealing with realty. Because of Yvan’s superb real estate skills we were able to get $270,000 over our asking price and now we can retire sooner. Yvan Rhéaume is the best real estate agent that we have ever worked with. We met Yvan through chance, by going to visit one of the homes he had listed. From the beginning we felt very well cared for. Yvan is a professional with lots of experience which was great for us, being first time home buyers. He worked with us for several months, despite the ever-changing and fast paced market, He ensured we did not get caught up in bidding wars, ensuring to comfort us through several losses. Yvan was always very quick and thorough with answering, and if unsure always took the time to research before bringing the information back to you. He is very good at ensuring you feel good throughout the entire process!! Overall, an amazing experience with a great first home bought, with the confidence knowing we made a very educated decision with our realtor's help! Yvan was available from the beginning to the end of my home buying process. He knows his job very well and a good knowledge of the market. I will do business with him without any hesitation.

Yvan Rheaume was recommended to us through a friend who had used his services in the past. From another province, I contacted Yvan months before the expected purchase. Our first discussion over the phone was over 1 hour, and he took the time to answer all our questions and more, and he did that knowing I could have gone with another agent anytime because I had not signed any documents that made Yvan our purchasing real estate agent representative. We were coming from another province, and only had 5 days to find a house. Yvan prepared us well for the upcoming housing purchase trip. He had provided us with negatives and positive for every area, provided advices on school and informed us of the current housing market in the Ottawa area. His advice allowed us to decide which area of Ottawa was more suitable for our family. Upon our arrival to the Ottawa area, Yvan had already booked viewing for houses that we had chosen to visit. In 3 days, we visited over 35 houses, and not once did Yvan ever made us feel like it was too much. We visited houses from around 10 am to 8 pm on 2 of these 3 days. Yvan allowed us to form our own opinion of the residence we were visiting, but when we seeked his input, he provided a very analytical and unbiased opinion that was very appreciated. Yvan provided, on numerous occasions, opinions that were very valuable to us and that helped us make a decision on the proper house to buy. We made a first offer on a house, Yvan was up to 2 am to try to close the deal but in the end, it didn't go through. We made an offer on a second residence and again, Yvan was up until 1 am to close the deal. We apologized to him for making him work so late, and he totally made us feel like it was his job, and that sometimes, his job makes him work after regular working hours. After the purchase, Yvan continued to assist us by ensuring that all the proper documents were in, in order to conclude the transaction. Yvan also assisted with the inspection of the residence and discussed some very valid points with the home inspector. All in all, Yvan was present through the whole purchasing process and returned all my calls very promptly. Even 1 month after the purchase, I called him for a question and he provided my with his opinion. An example of how Yvan takes care of his customers; he recently brought 3 pumpkins for my 3 kids at my residence. He did so in the middle of the day, and we would have never known he did this if I hadn't come home from work earlier that day and caught him in the act. He did this although he was completely done assisting us with the purchase. In conclusion, Yvan gave us a 5 star service. His knowledge of the housing market helped us greatly in choosing a house and a neighbourhood for our family. I discussed our real experience with Yvan as our real estate agent with co-workers who recently moved to the Ottawa area and they were amazed by the service we had.
