We had a very good experience selling our house. Yvan explained everything we needed to do carefully and step by step. He showed great attention to every detail in preparing our house before it went on the market and offered us resources to help. My initial email to Yvan was while I was still interviewing prospective agents. His reply was prompt and friendly, but most importantly it answered every question in my email. Without doubt what I most appreciated about Yvan was his availability. Emails, text messages and phone calls were always answered immediately and no question was left un-answered. Yvan provided us with a lot of valuable information and reading material before our trip to Ottawa. The map of Ottawa was particularly thoughtful, and allowed us to gain a better understanding of the suburbs we were interested in. The database of potential properties that Yvan built for us in our personal ‘portal’ was invaluable. It was exceptionally helpful to be able to see all our potential properties at a glance, and to be able to sort them quickly and efficiently. It was much easier than constantly trying to navigate MLS ourselves. Yvan was always available to alter the parameters of the portal when we needed it. Our trip to Ottawa was very short and very busy. We had one week to find a property with a newborn and three year old in tow. Yvan was ready for us and had our days planned and organized to a timetable that worked for us. He was also patient and understanding as our needs changed around the children. When we found the house we wanted to buy and the negotiations began we were glad we were on Yvan’s team. With us, and on his own time, Yvan did in-depth market research on the local housing market so that when we presented our first offer and settled on a final price we felt confident we weren’t over-paying. While negotiating with the other agent Yvan firmly pursued our best interests. Yvan confidently guided us through all the paperwork and legal work, and even after the sale was complete he continued to be available to answer our questions. Yvan sets an exceptionally high standard for all real estate agents and when the time comes to sell our house we will call Yvan again. We will confidently recommend him to everyone we know.
