I was relocating to eastern Alberta, and a Realtor I trust in Lloydminster recommended that I speak with Stephen Lau to help with the sale of my home. From the very beginning, it was clear why Stephen came so highly recommended. Stephen helped us prepare thoroughly before listing. He guided us through everything that needed to be done and made the process feel organized and manageable. Stephen Lau helped us both sell our home and purchase our next one, and the timing could not have been more critical. We were selling our house while simultaneously submitting a “subject to sale of home” offer on a property just outside Edmonton. Things moved very quickly, and at one point our purchase condition was challenged by another buyer. We were scrambling to get our home on the market, and thanks to Stephen’s preparation and execution, we already had a pending offer in place when we needed it most. We were just able to finalize the sale of our home in time to waive all conditions on the purchase. Without Stephen’s intense, focused, and highly effective selling process, there is no way we could have secured our next dream home. My wife and I were looking to relocate to a town just outside Edmonton so we could have better access to schools and daycare. As two working parents, we needed support and a clear plan. We were referred to Stephen Lau by a Realtor we know and trust in Calgary. Our relationship with Stephen began in 2023 when we purchased this townhouse with his help, and in 2025 we sold the same property with him for a gain of more than $43,000. While some might call that luck, we firmly believe the result was due to Stephen’s insight, discipline, and outstanding performance as our listing Realtor. What truly sets Stephen apart is his pricing strategy. From the very beginning, he was clear that pricing accurately on Day 1 was critical. This approach stood in sharp contrast to other Realtors who tend to overprice listings and then repeatedly ask sellers to reduce the price over time. We saw firsthand how risky that approach can be. Stephen’s strategy generated strong early interest and ultimately triggered a multiple-offer situation, allowing us to sell for approximately $13,000 over asking price. Shortly after our home sold, other townhouses in our complex—many of which had been overpriced—were forced to reduce their prices. Those sellers ended up chasing the market down, while Stephen’s deliberate and well-executed strategy allowed us to stay ahead of it. Stephen also paid close attention to presentation. I was introduced to Stephen Lau through my family’s lawyer. Interestingly, I already recognized his name—he had shown my property when it was listed with another Realtor a year earlier, during a time when I was unable to sell my home. In the end, fate brought us together, and the final result was nothing short of breathtaking. After carefully interviewing several Realtors, we chose Stephen because his strategy was thoughtful, well reasoned, and clearly explained. He didn’t rely on promises—he explained why his approach would work, and that gave us confidence. Stephen recommended completing a home inspection weeks before listing.
