I am so pleased to be providing a review for Soriah Kanji. I was very nervous about listing my one-bedroom condo, and Soriah put me at ease immediately. As we talked about market pricing, she provided me with recent sales in the area, and reassured me my condo would sell quickly. Soriah was professional, kind, reassuring and accessible - always available to talk to me by phone, email or text no matter what time of the day. My unit was priced so well, that I received an offer over asking within one day of listing. The process was effortless and a great relief for me. I filed a complaint against Soriah Kanji to BC Real Estate Council. I was under impression that I can change the price of my listing since this is my property. She never explained to me that she could block the price change on an existing contract. She also pressured me to cancel the listing before the expiry date. After multiple listings with Soriah Kanji and too-many showings, she generated 0 offers from prospective buyers. A person has to be grossly incompetent to generate zero offers with that many showings and in a market that is breaking record sales numbers. When I questioned does she even ask potential buyers for a sale, she texted me that she doesn't feel comfortable asking for a sale because it will throw potential buyers off. I told her if she wants different results, she needs to do things differently. Instead, she proceeded to pressure me to cancel the contract with her before the expiry date. First, she called me hoping to cancel the listing, then she texted me asking to cancel, and then she e-mailed me cancellation documents to sign, which I refused to sign since the listing contract is valid for 1 more month and requires signatures of both the seller and buyer. One month more doesn't make much difference to me, but the contract should be honoured until Dec 31st and the listing should stay live until that date. I wasted so much time with Soriah Kanji, gave her numerous opportunities hoping she would sell this place. She should never be in the sales business. It is my opinion that she is a grossly incompetent realtor and I warn everyone to stay away from her and her brokerage Stilhavn Real Estate Services.

I chose Soriah Kanji as my realtor because a friend of mine recommended her to me. She was very helpful and professional. I am happy with the condo and the deal i got in the end. I would highly recommend.
