John Surtees has been so helpful to us over the 10 years we have known him. He is up to date in his knowlege around real estate issues. He is known and respected in the community he lives in by other real estate agents and by people in general. He always returned our calls in a timely manner and ended up being our go to person around other services we needed as we were selling and buying houses. He kept us informed of what was going on with our house we had for sale. He spent time and money marketing our house. Generally he worked really hard for us.

John was recommended to me by some family in Nanaimo and he did not disappoint! It was a pleasure of working with John and his colleague Ian on the recent sale of my relative's house who had moved into care. I live out of town and John went above & beyond to minimize my trips up island. He was a wealth of information and was very good at explaining things at every step of the way. He was also very sensitive to what was at times an emotional experience as we got my relative's house ready for sale. Overall a painless experience and I would highly recommend John if you are looking for a realtor in Nanaimo!

John made buying our first home a very easy process and even provided us with phone numbers and emails of anyone we might need to help not only with our move but with any services we may have needed after our move in. I believe John really cares for his customers and really enjoys helping people, he’s not in it for a quick buck he really does want to help you find your forever home and to make it not only easy but enjoyable. For estate planning, we needed to know the value of my parents' house. John knew we were unlikely to sell anytime soon, but nonetheless he was very happy to come over and investigate the features and condition of the house. He provided us with a thorough analysis, including recent trends. He was professional, clear, friendly, and knowledgable. Everything we hoped for in working with an agent.
