How do we begin? Brent spent 6 months helping us find the right house in the right neighbourhood for the right price. We were out of the country when we decided to move back to Calgary. We had known Brent previously as a friend but we never thought we’d come to depend on him to help us find a home, sight unseen. The search started in Dec 2020 and ended July 2021. We had a long list of requirements and Brent commenced sending us listings online almost daily. We started to ask him to view properties with us via FaceTime and by the time we had finally succeeded getting an accepted offer, he could walk into a house and know right away if it was something we’d consider. We lost out on a few homes, some more than once! Things were getting crazier and crazier. The market was getting hotter and hotter. It’s seemed we were never going to win in this crazy housing market… and we were paying cash! But finally, the stars aligned and it happened. Without Brent’s PATIENCE and let me stress the word patience, knowledge and understanding of what was happening in the current market I don’t know if we would have been successful in finding our perfect home. He also stayed on top of our deficiency concerns and went to check on the progress of said deficiencies. ‘Whaaaaat?’ When my husband finally managed to get to town prior to possession day, Brent took him where he needed to go on various days and helped him immensely. The list goes on and on but suffice to say, he was a lifesaver. When we both finally got to our new home a few weeks later, we walked in the door to the most amazingly thoughtful and curated gift basket I’ve ever seen! From toilet paper to a wonderful bottle of wine and everything in between plus two very special personal items that we will treasure forever, not to mention show every friend that comes over. While he is a friend, that is a double edged sword when it comes to business transactions. He did an amazing job for us and we appreciate all his hard work, honesty, and thoughtfulness.
