Brent made selling my home a great experience. He was clear cut and straight to the point. He gave wonderful advise and listened closely to my concerns about the sale. He was professional and confident in his approach. Well organized and not afraid to step in and offer solid advice. He delivered in every way I could have wanted. How do we begin? Brent spent 6 months helping us find the right house in the right neighbourhood for the right price. We were out of the country when we decided to move back to Calgary. We had known Brent previously as a friend but we never thought we’d come to depend on him to help us find a home, sight unseen. The search started in Dec 2020 and ended July 2021. We had a long list of requirements and Brent commenced sending us listings online almost daily. We started to ask him to view properties with us via FaceTime and by the time we had finally succeeded getting an accepted offer, he could walk into a house and know right away if it was something we’d consider. We lost out on a few homes, some more than once! Things were getting crazier and crazier. The market was getting hotter and hotter. It’s seemed we were never going to win in this crazy housing market… and we were paying cash! But finally, the stars aligned and it happened. Without Brent’s PATIENCE and let me stress the word patience, knowledge and understanding of what was happening in the current market I don’t know if we would have been successful in finding our perfect home. He also stayed on top of our deficiency concerns and went to check on the progress of said deficiencies. ‘Whaaaaat?’ When my husband finally managed to get to town prior to possession day, Brent took him where he needed to go on various days and helped him immensely. The list goes on and on but suffice to say, he was a lifesaver. When we both finally got to our new home a few weeks later, we walked in the door to the most amazingly thoughtful and curated gift basket I’ve ever seen! From toilet paper to a wonderful bottle of wine and everything in between plus two very special personal items that we will treasure forever, not to mention show every friend that comes over. While he is a friend, that is a double edged sword when it comes to business transactions. He did an amazing job for us and we appreciate all his hard work, honesty, and thoughtfulness. When you need a realtor to help you with a purchase or sale of a home, call Brent. You won’t find a more honest and stand up guy!

I have known Brent for years and when we were ready to go ahead with our search he was eager to help!! We discussed our needs and he got right to work sending us properties to look at!! When we scheduled viewings they happened quick and it only took two places to realize we found what we were looking for well within our price range!! We're very happy we chose Brent as our realtor, and would whole-heartedly recommend him to anyone considering choosing him. Brent helped us sell our old home and buy a new one. We received excellent service, knowledge and negotiating skill from him. Service - He always cheerfully had time for us, and respected our time by not keeping us waiting. When we texted or emailed, answers came back fast. He never left us to "figure it out for ourselves" but made sure we knew what the next steps were and even anticipated questions we had. He provided someone to do staging advice and a photographer, which I guess is the usual thing, but the one's he provided were excellent at what they did, and he was totally on top of things coordinating us and them. During a home showing looking for a home, he had the right balance of pointing out relevant facts and observations about the home, without us feeling he was pushing us to buy or not buy. He was patient with us as home after home we came to a clearer idea what we wanted to buy. Finally he was active and involved in the home inspection, not just lounging around checking his phone (like our old realtor, sorry) but keeping tabs on the inspection, getting the inspector to pay more attention to a potential problem or question we had, and relaying info to us. Knowledge - Wow. This guy knows homes, knows the Calgary market, knows home sellers and buyers psychology. Brent notices the smallest bit of water damage around an attic vent in a dimly lit closet you've just walked out of thinking it's fine. Or the faintest bit of dog nail scratches on a hard wood floor. He's not a home inspector, but can look at furnaces, appliances, floors etc and give a very good ballpark appraisal of it. Estimating the fair market value of our home or a home we liked, Brent had a logical and clear explanation using comparables to back his number up, instead of just coming up with a number out of his head and asking us to trust it, which was our old realtors way. Negotiating skill - He spotted the market heating up in our community/house type a week before we listed and upped the list price by more than amateur us would have dared. We had competing offers, and sold over that list price in 36 hours. And yeah, a hot market is not evidence of any realtor's skill, but he spotted it, made sure we benefited from it, and handled the competing bids skillfully. Buying a house, we worried a bit that he would be a bit soft, because he's so nice and reasonable, but totally not the case. His recommendation for an opening offer was way lower than we would have done, and in the end he obtained a significant price reduction and helped us purchase our new home below the price line we had set. And below what we ever expected we could bring the seller down to. Last, these negotiations can get emotional for the seller and buyer, and as we got kind of upset about what the other side's position he had a way to get us to cool down and focus on our interests and the big picture. Like, at one point we wanted to walk away from a 3/4 of a million $ purchase because of an window handle issue that was effectively $500 - it sounds ridiculous, but negotiating a house price you can get into a mindset where it is less the price and more about making the other side concede. Brent was able to respectfully and logically get us to see the concessions we'd already gotten, see the big picture and see that what we were insisting on was so petty it might cause the other side to emotionally scrap the deal. We got a great deal buying our house, and he was a big part of that. So,if you are looking for a realtor we completely and without reservations recommend Brent. Without a doubt we will use him next time.
