Buying a house remotely is the single biggest risk I have ever taken. Markus was a real partner in my search for a home. He was available when I needed to speak with him. He was able to share knowledge about different areas I was looking at. He moved quickly to secure appointments at the properties I wanted to check out. He offered excellent advice regarding an unsuccessful conditional offer we made (house needed too much work) and with our final offer on the property I purchased. He did all of this in a professional and friendly manner. I arrived earlier this month and the house is lovely! Markus is a gem. I am happy to provide him with an excellent recommendation.

Markus helped us from the get-go. He provided answers to all questions and moved fast which is important in this market. Right down to help with the bidding process; he kept so close to the deal to ensure we were tuned into the changes as well as in-depth knowledge re. seller and interest in the area we were focused on. All in all a great experience and in the process he has become a new friend in our new home, Nova Scotia. We have never felt so welcome! Markus has been an excellent agent throughout the process of me buying my first condo in Halifax. Being a first time home buyer, I felt safe and secured with Markus. We had a great experience with Markus. He knew the market and was so helpful when deciding what to offer. We ended up buying a house that suits us so well, and are very happy with. My favourite thing about working with Markus is that he cares about what works for you more than making the sale. He points out potential (or current) issues, and looks for the things that will make you happy with a house. I don’t think a pushy realtor would be for me. For example the apartment we were living in sold and the real estate agent selling it made me cry! She cared more about the sale than the humans. Markus cares about people and that makes him so valuable. You will find a home you actually will be happy in. I would recommend him to any friend, and I would happily work with him again in the future.

He was with us from start to finish with advice, follow up, and he provided perfect checklists (which were easy to follow and a huge stress reliever) which he reviewed with us and made sure we had everything covered.
