Local knowledge - we were coming from away and Mark was able to help us narrow down neighbourhoods expertly. Professionalism - always prompt and courteous as one would expect. But Mark also went to great lengths to ensure we understood the professional obligations he had to us with respect to confidentiality and duty of care. Negotiation skills - we bought in a sellers' market and Mark helped us understand value so that we could make a competitive bid. We were successful in our first attempt - among five offers. Property Knowledge - Mark displayed an above average understanding of both the legal and physical aspects of the properties we viewed together. He noticed several minor deficiencies that helped inform us before making an offer. Communication and contact - Mark was always quick to reply to emails or text messages and proactive in communicating news as well. The only time we were delayed, and I consider this a positive reflection of his character, was if I texted him near bedtime for his young children AND IF IT WAS NOT URGENT. Again, for me, this is a measure of Mark's integrity. I might also add that Mark has been wonderfully helpful post closing. He has helped resolve several "new owner" issues that were not really his responsibility. In my career I have hired many people and given references on those that have worked for me. The key question - the only question that really matters - is would you hire this person again if you had the chance. I can say, unequivocally, that we were impressed by Mark and would not hesitate to use his real estate services in the future.

As a first time home buyer, what I was looking for in a home was constantly changing as I learned what my options were. Mark was patient with me and helped me narrow in on what was right for me. Mark's strongest attribute is his integrity and honesty. From the start I felt that Mark was trustworthy, always had my best interests first and that my trust in him was well placed. Mark is very knowledgeable and will always be straight with you about what he does and does not know. Mark is also detail oriented and dug deep into things in the due diligence process that I asked him to. Overall, Mark is a great realtor if you are looking for someone who has your best interests first and is good at what they do.
