We met Melanie Smith in Feb 2023. It was an extremely difficult time dealing with aging parents with dementia, and trying to find a place where everyone could be together, while also meeting the needs of everyone in the home. Melanie was amazing with her knowledge, her seamless flow through of explanation on any and all matter's we needed clarification on, and how quickly she would find answer's for us if she didn't already have them. Melanie helped us with everything at that point but unfortunately, shortly after, we had to stop looking for a home, due to several circumstances. Melanie was completely understanding and told us she was there if we needed anything. She actually called us several times just to see how we were, and if we needed anything, like a friend would. We recently got to the point we could sell the house, and Melanie told us everything we needed to do, and we just sold the house after being on the market for about 38 hours!! Over asking to boot!! :) I am leaving out a ton of specific's, because honestly, I could spend the day writing this review, and all of the AMAZING thing's Melanie has done for us over the past year and 9 months.. WOW.... . I will forever tell anyone and EVERYONE, if they ever need a realtor, hands down Melanie Smith is the one you want!! We could not thank Melanie and her team enough for this amazing experience, and we look forward to working with her on the purchase of a house in the immediate future!! Thanks Melanie!

I met Melanie serendipitously when she knocked on the door of my parents' home that I was just beginning to prepare for sale. She was in the neighbourhood because she lives there. Even though the house wasn't ready AT ALL, something in Melanie's friendly, easy way told me to give her a try - maybe she could answer some questions, get me started. By the end of her impromptu walk through, I knew she was the realtor for us. Melanie understood the circumstances of the sale, and respected the emotions involved for my sister and I in selling our much-loved family home. She was honest about the positives and the challenges of our property. With these in mind, she offered valuable suggestions for the process of preparing the house for sale. She even offered practical help with things that needed to be done, since I live in another city. For example, she was there to let inspectors and cleaners in. She even collected and stored things that I forgot to remove from the house. From the beginning, Melanie made it clear that she never wanted to make us feel pressured to do something, and she never did. When the house was ready, she consulted with us on a realistic price, and a marketing plan that was flexible to reflect the market trends and our desire to sell. She kept us updated through the open houses and showings. We felt heard, and at the same time, supported with Mel's knowledge and expertise. In the time it took to prepare and sell our home, I came to really appreciate Mel as a realtor, but more importantly as a person. She's truly there to help her clients achieve their goals. As always, actions speak louder than words. Melanie does what she says, and she does it with grace and a smile.
