Melanie was a joy to work with, bringing great insights into the home buying process and paying great attention to detail. She was always available by text or call and was available so quickly for showings, helping us land our dream home!

After spending around 2 weeks trying to find the right real estate agent for our move, we found the Hamre group, as it was highly recommended online. Melanie's initial response was both fast, friendly and encouraging. We weren't initially looking to move until much later in the year, and she understood that. As first time home buyers, the process seemed daunting, until we met Melanie. She wasn't pushy, or in a rush. She understood we were very unprepared, and did so much work to get us to where we needed to be. Everyone she helped to recommend had been top notch, from the mortgage broker Darren, to the inspector TJ. While being totally professional the entire time, she was still friendly, and able to joke around with us which really helped to ease the whole process. I never once felt like we were a transaction, or a way for her to make money, which seems to be a common issue with agents, where they will lie or push you into a property that is unsuitable. That's not Melanie, she actually was talking us out of buying a home, to the point where she stated with what she knew about us, she would not feel comfortable with representing us on the property, and instead helped us secure a much better house, at a much more affordable rate. To anyone moving in the Ottawa area, or in our case, an hour away from the Ottawa area, I would 100% recommend Melanie to be your agent, as she will be ours on any purchase / sale we make going forward.

Melanie was an awesome real estate agent to work with for our first time home buying experience. She was very knowledgeable, had excellent communication, and always made sure we were comfortable throughout the whole process. You can tell Mel is truly passionate about what she does and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an agent in the Ottawa area.

Mel was highly competent and inspired confidence from the moment we started working with her. She is personable, down-to-earth and a pleasure to deal with. She was in constant communication with us throughout the entire home-buying process and was very responsive whenever we reached out to her, no matter the time of day. She developed a strategy to help us get our dream home in the country that we thought was out of reach for us. During the showing, she pointed out lots of helpful tips about buying a rural property that clearly showed how much knowledge she has. We couldn't be happier with our experience buying with Mel!

Melanie was very accommodating from the start and was advised that this would possibly be a 2 year process and we were not in a rush. We pulled the plug on the idea and kicked it up to full speed and Melanie was there every step of the way. From the emails, texts, phone calls and then with us changing the move in date 3 times, she was very understanding, pleasant, professional and never made me feel bad about all of my uncertainties.
