TURNING SOMETHING INTO THE MOST POSITIVE EXPERIENCE OF 2020! (and quite an experience it was!) We live in West Carleton and the family had a house in Orleans they started to consider selling away back in January 2020. We knew no real estate agents in Orleans. Greg Hamre and the WEKNOWOTTAWA.COM Hamre Real Estate Team was actually found on the Internet earlier this year by a family member who lives in down in Maryland USA, with the help of his wife who has experience with U.S. Real Estate. They both did their due diligence from Maryland USA, on the Best Canadian/Ottawa Real Estate Agents and decided to forward their recommendation to us in Ottawa. It was Greg Hamre. Boy did they knock it out of the park. Top ten! Back in March, this house sale looked like an extreme challenge as it currently had tenants till July 1st and a Mortgage due June 1st. Plus COVID-19 was just happening. One could have expected many an agent to simply say call me when you are ready. Greg was there all the way. Greg worked with us starting about March/April to help with advice in preparing the sale. As a result of Greg's knowledge of real estate and his experience, we were able to breeze through required situations including Timing ( COVID-19 had a big impact), Banking, complete Mortgage renewal June 1st, (saving us thousands), Property clean up planning, and so on. One stop shop- Greg covered all our needs and requirements. We received such first class service I was actually outright impressed that Real Estate Technology has advanced so far and in the right hands can be so incredibly beneficial to people buying or selling. It certainly was in the right hands. When we finally listed the house in July, and I tried to follow the listing on the Internet and had a hard time keeping up. The house was all over the Internet. Even on YOUTUBE. Everybody was listing it. The house sold in 7 days, with multiple offers and a large physical showing. People in the know will know what a "Gretsky" is regarding showings... All while ensuring COVID safety rules were strictly adhered to all the way. We were extremely happy with the final far exceeding sale price, beyond our wildest expectations. This to us is what excellent service can accomplish. We have never been so impressed by the level of service we received. This purchase was very important for our family for many different reasons and Greg quickly picked up on that. Greg did an excellent job helping me find my place! He had a considerable knowledge about different neighbourhoods, so he knew where was best for me. He also did an excellent job dealing with challenges of doing to house search virtually as I am not in Ottawa. I would definitely use him again.
