<p><br /> We cannot say enough good things about our experience working with Cheryl. We were searching for our first home on the Island, while living in Vancouver. We had been looking at homes online using the realtor website for about 6 months prior to contacting a real estate agent to help us. We went online to research realtors and contacted a few realtors via email just to establish an initial relationship. We spoke with a few realtors on the phone, and each time we either felt more confused then before we called, or we felt like we were wasting their time. It was very difficult looking for homes in Victoria, while living on the mainland, because every time we would find something we liked, by the time we were able to come set up a viewing, they had sold. We started to feel very anxious, like we would never be able to find something, especially in a very hot market.</p> <p>Which brings us to Cheryl. We found Cheryl's information online, and read such great reviews we thought why not give it another shot. From the very first phone call made to Cheryl, we got off the phone feeling like everything was going to be ok! She was extremely knowledgeable of the areas we were searching, and of the current market conditions. She was patient with us in our search, and very flexible in finding time for us to come over to the island to view some open houses. We had one day, and she had set up at least 5 houses for us to view. We found the house we were looking for that very same day. Cheryl explained the entire process to us, every step of the way, and she was very quick to respond to any questions. If she didn't have the answer immediately, she had it for us within a day.<br /> When our first offer on a house was outbid, it was absolutely beyond her control. After we lost the first house, we realized that we had to be more aggressive in the type of market we entered into. Thankfully losing that house, allowed us to discover the house that we were meant to buy. Our second offer, a little more aggressive then the first, was accepted against 3 other buyers.</p> <p>Anyone that I know in the future that is interested in buying a house on Vancouver Island, I would absolutely recommend Cheryl Barnes. Cheryl was very thorough and made us feel like our business was important. Her professionalism, knowledge of the areas, experience, and constant communication far exceeded our expectations. <p>I met Cheryl over the internet while trying to find a good agent to work with for my pending move to Victoria BC from Oakville ON. Cheryl was the only agent who stayed with me over the 3 month period while we were searching for the best location and house that would meet our needs. I found Cheryl to be an extremely good listener, hard working and dedicated to her client. Through her expertise, we slowly narrowed down the location and then the type of house we wanted. Once she had established what we wanted she took it upon herself to find us our new home. We settled on one house that my wife really liked and again Cheryl went and not only took a look around the outside but also got into the house without even asking us to do so. Her recommendation back to us was don't buy this house, it's not what you want and the finishes are also not what you are looking for. This home was $1.4m. We found another home and again she took it upon herself to go and inspect the house inside and out.This house was a little cheaper but a far better built house with all the finishes we wanted, great layout and incredible view. Because Cheryl new what we wanted and we had the confidence in her we bought this house sight unseen. Cheryl arranged the house inspection on our behalf which again was completed with all the expertise you could ask for. Two weeks later we saw the house for the first time and it was everything we could have asked for. Having an agent who can listen to your needs and wants and is quick to respond to your requests with constructive criticism, guidance and answers is very important. We can only say the Cheryl represented us and her company with complete professionalism. Thank you so much Cheryl.</p>
