I first met Cathy and Marlene in 2016 when I purchased my house with their help in St. Catharines. With that positive experience in mind, I called upon them once again when I was ready to sell this year. From the beginning, their professionalism and expertise were evident. After their initial visit in February, where they provided a comprehensive appraisal and valuable advice while my tenant was still in residence, I reconnected with them in July when my tenant was set to move out. With their guidance, I worked with their recommended contacts to get the house repaired, upgraded, and ready for listing in early October, including bathroom renovations, drainage repairs, new carpeting, and cleaning. Each of their referrals delivered exceptional work, and the agents’ network of trusted professionals proved invaluable. Despite being away in Sint Maarten for much of the preparation and market time, Cathy and Marlene kept communication open and collaborative, respecting my own knowledge of the house and local market conditions. Together, we made key decisions on timing, pricing, and adjustments as necessary. Selling in a market with uncertainties due to the slowly declining Bank of Canada rate and it being a buyer’s market initially caused some anxiety. However, Cathy and Marlene’s expertise helped alleviate those concerns, and their proactive approach led to a successful sale within 30 days of listing, close to my asking price and with a favorable closing date. Additionally, they did their research to find a local real estate lawyer specializing in non-resident transactions—instrumental in my situation, especially with less than a two-week closing. Their support, dedication, and deep market knowledge made this sale a success. I highly recommend Cathy and Marlene to anyone navigating a real estate transaction.

The entire experience from listing to the sale which by the way took 3 days and sold over asking price! Doesn't get much better than that. Hats off to the O'Hara Sisters!
