Candice helped us to find a new home in Nova Scotia. Working with her has been nothing less than brilliant. Candice Blaney from RE/MAX sold my property in just ten days for three times the selling price I optimistically hoped might be possible! The home where I had been born in 72 years ago had so many issues, it was not economically sensible to renovate. A former next-door neighbor told me about the real estate agent who had gotten his family an outstanding price a couple of years before. He was so enthusiastic about Candice's abilities that I asked him to contact her, which he did immediately. Within a couple of hours Candice was my agent, for the sale of my property as vacant land containing an old house needing demolition. Candice and I toured the property and the house. Drone photography was done from above to show the beautiful neighborhood of single-family homes in this old subdivision, and the proximity to the Armdale Rotary. Being sold as vacant land, the potential purchasers are usually the relatively small number of home building companies that can finance such a project. Candice immediately took advantage of the great number of professional contacts she has worked with in the local real estate and property development industries. Ten days after I met her, Candice found a potential buyer, and I was overjoyed to accept the generous offer. Candice advised me I could wait for potentially better offers, but I was completely happy. Being sold as vacant land, a local government environmental inspection was required, which delayed the closing date 36 days, but had no effect on the sale. I had expected selling a property to be a stressful experience, but Candice made it so easy and relaxing. She told me she would do everything, and she did. She was optimistic that there would be no difficulty finding a buyer due to the shortage of vacant lots close to the peninsula. I expected that neighbors would be phoning me asking questions and making offers to me. But Candice said I could just give them her contact information and let her know about people wanting to meet her. The way the real estate industry has adopted internet technology saved me so much time. Any documents I needed to agree to and sign, I was able to do online with no delay. Anytime I had a question I just sent Candice a text, an e-mail or phone call, and she immediately answered, even on weekends. Even though my property may be one of the lowest value properties she has helped with, she always gave me excellent service. How she got the successful owner of a home building company to immediately offer me three times the selling price I had hoped for, in November, is a miracle. I see now why after Candice sold the house next door, the seller now enthusiastically spreads the word about her.

Candice patiently helped us navigate the ins-and-outs of buying our first home in a volatile market. We really had no idea what we were getting into when we started the process but thanks to Candice we felt comfortable every step of the way. We put our trust in her to guide us and we were able to find an incredible home for an incredible price. If we ever try to buy another home in Halifax we're definitely going to go to her first.

Working with Candace was a walk in the park. She knows what she is doing and can adapt seamlessly to any situation that comes up. She is super professional and knowledgeable, but above all that she is exceptionally down to earth and relatable. I had the absolute best person for the job and I knew that within moments of meeting with her. She is straightforward and honest and it is obvious that she knows what she is talking about and then some. She goes above and beyond and was just so pleasant to work with. She is the only person I would refer my friends to going forward. Another thing to mention is that I know she is busy but she always managed to be available. I really appreciate someone who is able to manage time well and she did this effortlessly. Although I wouldn’t want to move again, if I did it would mean working with Candace again and that will always be a bonus!
