Anita Van Rootselaar and the Guelph Area Living (@guelpharealiving) team helped my wife and I find our dream condo right in downtown Guelph. Working with Anita was a amazing, stress free, and seamless process. She talked with us extensively taking the time to understand exactly what were were looking for. Whenever something came on to the market, we were the first to know! Once we found the perfect place (The River Mill and River House condos are amazing...check out the views!) she helped us with everything. The offer process was straight forward and although it took some time and effort on her part, we secured the condo for a great price!! After that, She helped me stage and list my old place (at the Mill Lofts in St Patrick's Ward) on the market. By the time she was finished I almost didn't want to sell! Thankfully she was able to find a great buyer and I received a very good price for my previous condo. Such a great process. The new Tricar condo checks all our boxes. I know the sunset on the balcony is great, but now going out is easy! We can now walk right down McDonnell St for dinner at one of Guelph's great local pubs, or spend the night out at a Storm OHL game! Catching a show or performance at the River Run Center is a breeze as its right around the corner. She found us a spot right in the heart of Guelph. We can't wait to take the train to Toronto for the weekend as that is also just steps away. I would say that Anita takes the time to learn about you and understand your needs. That combined with her extensive knowledge about the Guelph and area housing market, make her a champion in her field and someone you definitely want working for you! It had been a number of years since we sold our previous home, so she took the time to explain the current housing market, and provided her honest feedback on the value of our property, which was based on the condition of our home, and the sales of comparable homes in our area. After our discussions, we felt confident that she could give us the help and attention that we needed to sell our home quickly. Finding a Realtor that you can trust is one thing, but Anita gave us so much more than that. She never made any promises that she couldn't keep -- she was open and honest about what she could and couldn't do for us. She set her expectations up front, and gave us the flexibility that we needed to make our own decisions, or arrive at decisions together when the situation called for it. She was responsive and returned phone calls and email communication in a timely manner - even when she was away on a family vacation in Florida. Anita kept us in the loop about all matters pertaining to the sale of our home, and she put our interests above her own. Never once did she 'drop the ball' on us. In fact, she was passionate about helping us and was always on the ball, calling to remind us of upcoming deadlines, and following up on leads that we believed may have lead to a sale. We spent about a week and a half getting our house ready to sell. Anita was patient through this whole time, and offered encouragement and advice when it was needed. The For Sale sign went up on the front lawn, and we received our first offer 4 days later, at our listing price! We were thrilled, and two months later, we moved into our dream home!!!
