About Jayme McKillop RE/MAX Vernon
Local knowledge goes a long way for first-time buyers, down-sizing clients, clients looking to make a move, and investment seekers. As a long-time resident of the North Okanagan region, my understanding of the community and geography of our area is my greatest asset as a Realtor with the RE/MAX Vernon team, where I work mostly in Vernon, but also across the surrounding North Okanagan communities.
From my deep understanding of the amenities and services in our area to my web of connections with the leaders and residents of our region, I ensure people are well-represented in their intentions to buy or sell real estate locally. I empower clients with the ability to make informed, supported decisions, focusing on what I know and leading people through the process, with ease, knowledge, and commitment.
My areas of expertise are finding the right property for first-time buyers, easing the transition of downsizing for experienced homeowners, and matching investors with the perfect revenue-generating package for their needs. I am also a strong advocate for farmers and small food producers and those exploring alternative building styles.
My connection with the land I live on goes down to the soil. As an avid proponent of local agriculture, I have sat on the board of the Armstrong/Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce, where I served as a non-voting member of the Agricultural Committee. I also sat on the Vernon Chamber of Commerce for a term. As well, I now sit on the board of the North Okanagan’s Good Food Box where we connect people to fresh food and support the food systems that we need to keep our communities healthy and sustainable.
As a result, I give back to my region in many ways. I support the Okanagan Learning Foundation through donations of clothing and money on a semi-annual basis. I serve on the Regional Government and Community Relations Sub-Committee for our Real Estate Board Association of Interior Realtors. I am also a member of the City of Vernon’s Affordable Housing Committee, where I work hard to ensure that housing is available for every person who calls this place home.
Putting passion before profit was something I learned from my family. My father is a successful realtor who gave me a deep appreciation for the relationships embedded within our business. He instilled in me a passion for serving the needs of my clients, rather than simply selling property.
