At RankMyAgent.com, there are strong checks and balances in place to monitor all activity on the site. Real estate agents are screened and confirmed as registered practitioners before their profiles go live.


Some ways we do this:

  • Reviewers must verify their identities before posting a review.
  • All reviews are based on firm, closed transactions. A valid transaction address is to be provided with every published review.
  • Rest assured, review volume cannot be skewed as we allow only one review to be written per transaction. Any review breaking this guideline would be removed.
  • We have a human moderation team that works to review all content, identify, block and remove fraud. If any information is flagged as suspicious by our moderation team or visitors to the site, it is quickly and thoroughly investigated. In some cases, this will even require further proof that a transaction took place.
  • Reviews go through automatic filters to identify integrity issues prior to being published.
  • Business owners and community members can flag reviews they believe fraudulent. All reports are reviewed by our moderation team.
  • Third-party listing accounting systems are utilized to capture reviews from clients from real transactions.

To be published, a reviewer must fill out our review survey, verify their review after submission, as per our review process. Once in moderation, the review must pass our review guidelines.

Reviews must have a verifiable transaction address and must be written by the contractual client of the real estate agent they are writing for. Any reviews that do not pass our guidelines will not be published.

A notification is sent once a review has been published.

To submit a review, you are required to submit:

  • your rankings
  • your honest feedback of the service you received
  • a valid email address
  • the transaction address (This is only used for verification and never published publicly)
