Cynthia started out in 1992 as a Real Estate Agent in Mission, British Columbia. She observed trends, needs and combined empathy for her clients needs with her tough negotiating skills. Because she understood the emotional rollercoaster ride home selling and purchasing can be, she fought for the best deal possible for her buyers and sellers. Cynthia quickly gained a reputation for being honest, hardworking and successful with her clients, and her business grew.

1995 proved to be a momentous year when Cynthia married Gerald McGiverin, beginning a new partnership in both business and personal lives. In 1999 Cynthia and Gerald relocated to Calgary, Alberta and quickly became one of the top 5 teams.
