Simon’s knowledge, patience and expertise were invaluable to us, as we were both selling our townhouse and buying an apartment within days of each other. Simon has my highest recommendation. I was looking for my first investment property in a city that I had never been to. I had little knowledge and experience of Calgary as well as the process of buying a home. Simon treated me as though I was his only client and really made sure I found what I wanted. Viewing 36 places in three days, he took it upon himself to ensure I saw all areas of Calgary and encouraged me to keep an open mind. I was able to successfully find a place in 3 days. Not every realtor is able to put on an "investor" hat as well as a "realtor" hat and he can do both effortlessly. He bounces options with you, thinks out side the box and really goes above and beyond constantly. I will most definitely be buying my second place with him too.

Simon has made the process of selling my condo as smooth as humanly possible. I have never sold a property before but Simon has always been available to answer all my questions which helped put me at ease. I could not be happier with how everything has worked out and have been telling everyone I know how good the experience was.

Simon was the perfect agent for us, as both a seller and then a buyer. 1) He offered excellent advice; 2) he had a very clear understanding of market conditions; 3) he had an uncanny ability to predict what potential buyers (and later a seller) were going to do; and 4) when it really counted, he showed himself to be a skilled and very tough negotiator. On that last point, I can't say enough how glad we were to have him on our side, and likewise how fortunate we felt not to be going up against him. WORKING WITH SIMON AS SELLERS: First, he priced our home at just the right point and arranged for excellent marketing. We got two offers within a few days. But he didn't jump at them, he played it cool and got both to increase their offers; we eventually got a signed deal for more than we expected. When that offer fell through a week later (because of buyer financing issues) he used it as an opportunity. He went back to the original interested parties, added in a couple buyers that he had heard were disappointed that house went under contract quickly, and ended up getting an offer well above the first - for 10's of thousands more we ever expected to get. WORKING WITH SIMON AS BUYERS: He had a very good sense of what we wanted so he didn't inundate us with useless listings, just a few that were all close to what we wanted. When we saw a very good house early on, he accurately predicted that it would sell quickly and at what price - we were too slow in taking his advice. When we later saw another house we wanted, he read the situation and went to work. He was dealing with an unmotivated seller, which made it difficult, but little by little he got the price to go down. Again, he showed some serious chops here: he really worked on a seller that wasn't in any hurry to sell or lower his price. We ended up signing a contract for close to 50,000 under the list price.
