I had a great experience working with Mike Maleki, when I bought a house completely sight unseen. I put a lot of trust in him, and he earned it by staying honest, responsive, and detailed throughout the whole process—sending videos, explaining the neighborhood, and walking me through the numbers so I felt comfortable from afar. The property turned out even better than I expected, and when I later decided to flip it, his guidance helped me make much more than I anticipated. I had a very disappointing experience working with this agent. We brought our own buyers and handled the majority of the work ourselves, yet were explicitly promised that part of the commission would be returned to us. That promise was never honored despite multiple follow-ups, and I feel misled and lied to just to sell under the desired price. On top of that, the agent provided inaccurate information to potential buyers, which created confusion during the process and we had to fix. There were also repeated professionalism issues, including being late to scheduled open houses. Given that we sourced the buyers and did much of the work independently, this experience was especially frustrating and resulted in unnecessary stress and financial loss. I would strongly caution others to get everything in writing and think carefully before working with this agent.
