<p>I WOULD SUGGEST NOT WORKING WITH MARIKA. I found her to be completely unreliable and unprofessional.</p> <p>My partner and I are from the Lower Mainland and are looking to buy a property in Kelowna. We were working with Marika Wolf since April 3rd 2018. She was recommended to us by a family member who worked with her in the past.</p> <p>Since early April, Marika has been sending us properties that meet our basic criteria through her online system. We started making lists of the properties we liked and decided on a weekend would we travel to Kelowna to hopefully purchase a home. On June 26th, we let Marika know that we would be coming to Kelowna on July 21st and 22nd to view properties, she emailed back right away and said that would work for her.</p> <p>On July 17, we sent Marika a list of seven properties we wanted to view and included a criteria (we included the criteria since Marika had never asked us for our long terms plans or what we were looking for in a home). On July 18, Marika informed us that Saturday viewings would not work for her, so we would have to view all the properties on Sunday only. On July 19, Markia informed us she was able to schedule a few viewings for Sunday and did not provide any of her own suggestions for homes matching our criteria. I sent her an email that night expressing our disappointment of only seeing a few properties and only viewing properties on Sunday, given that we had planned this trip for a month and was only in town for the weekend. We didn't receive a reply until July 21st and still, Marika provided no other suggestions for properties and instead just apologized that we were disappointed. So I sent Markia an additional three properties to view and she indicated it would be no problem to see those.</p> <p>On July 22, we met Marika at the first property. She was a few minutes late for the viewing and was being driven around by someone that we were not introduced to. She showed us the property and then indicated that we were to meet at the next house. We were following her when all of a sudden her driver made a sharp u-turn heading in the wrong direction. We had our GPS on so we continued on to the house. We sat outside of the house for an hour while calling and texting Marika. We received no response. So I called the main Remax office to see if they had heard of any emergencies regarding Marika. They indicated that had not so I asked to be put in touch with another agent so that we could finish the viewings we had planned for the day (seven total). The operator told us that she would page the person "on the floor" and he would get back to us as soon as possible. We received no response from this person.</p> <p>That night we returned to the Lower Mainland having seen a total of one property the entire weekend. I emailed Marika asking for an explanation but never heard from her and still haven't to this day.</p> <p>She wasted our time, money and vacation days. We have never experienced such an unprofessional and unreliable realtor, especially from Remax. Being from out of town, we had to rely heavily on Marika and put a lot of trust in her during our house search. As most people are aware, this is one of the biggest purchases most people make in their life and also a very time consuming and stressful experience. Marika only added to our stress and now we feel like we are back at square one - looking for a new relator, sending them properties and planning another trip to Kelowna.</p> <p>I was considering filing a complaint with the Real Estate Council of British Columbia citing professional misconduct including incompetence and conduct unbecoming of a licensee, but thought it would be best to connect with the owner first. I am emailed the owner a week ago and he has yet to provide an explanation or apology.</p> <p>Luckily, there are many other real estate agents in Kelowna. I would suggest you find someone else to work with and preferably not with Kelowna Remax office.</p>

<p>Marika was referred to us from a good friend and she was a awesome asset to have on our side. We began our search for our first home when the market was in peak demand and Marika knew exactly how to play the game. Her communication, persistence and dedication made it possible for us to find our forever home. We can't thank Marika enough!!!!</p>
