When looking to sell my elderly parents' house in Saanich, I reached out to a few agents I was referred to by friends and also contacted Dan on a whim based on a quick web search. To my surprise, he was so responsive and thorough in his property evaluation that he handily beat out the known candidates. He correctly assessed the house as a difficult sell, as the others did, but he also came up with a realistic, detailed plan to find the right buyer at the right price. Throughout the months-long process of getting the house ready and then putting it on the market, Dan remained patient and judicious in his approach, carefully explaining every step and getting our family's buy-in on every proposed move. He also had the wisdom to know when to reduce the price, how to field offers and how to keep the eventual buyer happy right through closing date--which was yesterday, and our whole family is celebrating. Not just because the sale went through, but because we're so happy with how everything went. That's what my dad told me last night. This process could have been kind of traumatic for my family (and indeed, they didn't always make things easy for Dan) but instead we're feeling really good about it. I heartily recommend Dan to anyone looking for an experienced, wise and ethical realtor. He was an absolute pleasure to work with.
