I recently decided to retire and relocate from Winnipeg to Calgary where my daughter and her family live. My daughter recommended Albert Mah as a relator as he had been very helpful when she and her husband purchased their first home. I contacted Albert in the late fall and provided him with an idea as to what I was looking for and by this time, I had decided on purchasing a condominium, a location, and some of the amenities I wanted. Over the next month or so, Albert watched the market and arranged a list of condos matching the criteria I had given him. When I came out to Calgary to visit over Christmas we met, reviewed the list, and selected seven to investigate further. My daughter and I spent the better part of a day visiting and looking at these seven units with Albert. Although none of the ones we saw were quite right, Albert felt he had a better idea as to what I was looking for and agreed to continue watching and advise me if anything suitable came up. In February Albert notified me that a condo matching what I was looking for had just been advertised so he and my daughter went to look and within two days our offer to purchase was accepted and I now own that condo and am very happy with it. As a realtor, Albert was invaluable to me. He clearly understood the housing market at the time, and his advice on drawing up the offer to purchase and the time line we should use were correct and lead to quick acceptance by the seller. COVID made travel awkward and because I was in another province there were some unusual challenges. He was able to help me with finding a law firm in Calgary and facilitating communications between the property management company and myself. He also helped to set up payment of my property taxes. Overall, Albert made the entire process go smoothly and very promptly took care of the few bumps that turned up on the way. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend him or any of his colleagues at Connect Real Estate Group as knowledgeable, personable, and very competent realtors.

We’ve recently purchased our new home with the help of Albert Mah. As first time home buyers, me and my husband tried to do our research prior to purchasing yet there’s always something that we weren’t aware of. Albert would always give us useful advice and information on what to look for in a new home that we were not aware of. Albert also was very well aware of our needs and budget for the house. He was constantly looking for homes that met our criteria. We are more than satisfied with the knowledge, effort and professionalism that he had. He is always early and well prepared for our appointments and this made it very easy for us with our purchase. Our existing bank didn’t want to work with us with the mortgage of our new home. Just when we were stressed about it, Albert was able to help us find a broker that got us a reasonable mortgage plan. And that really took the weight off our shoulders. Albert was an outstanding help in both the sale of our previous home and the purchase of our new home. In working with him he was able to get our house sold quickly and slightly over where we had expected to sell the house for. He took into consideration all of our wants and needs and made great recommends which allowed us to find our perfect family home. Albert was extremely well prepared for each preview/showing date. He had timings, brochures and bookings as one would expect. He also knew our preferences and was excellent in engaging us in communicating and comparing. He did not express his own opinion unless asked. For example, when asked about changes or remodeling, he was very prepared how that would influence how it would meet our current list of preferences, but cautioned us on resale as that was a potential consideration we had. When we did put in an offer, he recommended a price based on the market, the value, and our consideration. This might seem normal, but requires a fair amount of knowledge, diplomacy, and respect for the seller and buyer. He was respectful to both of us as buyers, to the homes we viewed, and to the pandemic protocols. At every point in time, we knew we could depend on him for knowledge, clarity and honesty. It was extremely obvious that we was familiar with not only the market but also diverse neighbourhoods, which required "homework" as we did change our mind between city (central and outer) and suburban locations. He was able to provide clarity, followed up appropriately, and we are not novice home buyers. We are delighted with our purchase and have absolutely no hesitation or regrets.

Working with Albert has been an absolute pleasure. He sold our home within seven days of listing and has guided us through the entire new build process. From start to finish, Albert was outstanding. Albert promptly responded to all inquiries we had with knowledgeable and thorough answers. He provided honest and logical recommendations when we would seek advice. He kept us updated during every step of the process and made the home selling and buying experience as least stressful as possible. Albert was also extremely accommodating when we would take our toddler to viewings and meetings, he was always there to lend a helping hand!
