<p>We had previously listed our property with another agent and the property would not sell after nearly 2 months on the market. Then we decided to interview Sunny among other top realtors in the area. <p>In late October 2016 my wife and I decided to sell our country home. We felt that the decision on whom to use as our real estate agent was the single biggest choice we would make. We felt and still feel it was more important than upgrades, colour choices and all other factors surrounding the sale. I knew Sunny was a City of Brampton Realtor. I knew very little else about him.</p> <p>By way of background, I am a retired 32 year Police Officer who is not easily impressed. I very much value trust and honesty and expect Realtors to behave in a professional manner. I am also a realist who knows that the above mentioned qualities are becoming increasingly uncommon in the world we live in.</p> <p>We met Sunny at our home. He was on time, he was very well dressed and presented. He was polite and respectful. To my surprise he had also done his homework and he was very prepared to discuss every aspect of selling our home. His organizational skills, his honesty, his market knowledge and his professionalism were also very impressive and quite frankly refreshing. We informed him that we were going to interview 2 other Realtors in addition to him. He took the time to explain Remax’s Real Estate philosophy. He with pride, explained the successes and awards his office had achieved. He then described himself. He outlined his achievements and explained his top 1% ratings. This top 1% rating was not a play on words he actually had the hard current data to back up his claims, he sold some 115 homes in 2015 and I bet as many in 2016. We quickly developed a rapport with him that lead to a strong feeling of trust. That trust lead to us not bothering to interview the other two Realtors. There are times in life when you know you are making the correct decision and this was one of those times.</p> <p>Sunny suggested a selling price based on a computer program examination of past sales along with his unique knowledge of the area and his “gut” feelings. He made no ridiculous claims. He said he was not a magician but he did assure us that he would work tirelessly until our home was sold. We listed with him. A free of charge cleaner, stager and staging mover was offered to us. We utilized the services of the stager who was also very knowledgeable, professional and even more important, grounded.</p> <p>Sunny received the first offer less than 12 hours after it was placed on Realtor.ca. We were understandably excited and wanted to view the offer. Sunny asked us to wait and approx. ½ a day later we received our second offer. Sunny was waiting for a “multiple offer” situation. He masterfully dealt with the two Realtors and in the end we sold our home above our asking price in 2 days! The deal including the buyer securing a mortgage, insurance and a home inspection was firm 2 days later. This is unheard of in a rural setting.</p> <p>In conclusion, I stated at the start, the most important decision for those selling a home is who you choose as your Realtor. Sunny Purewall exceeded our expectations at every step. I would highly recommend him if you find yourself wanting to sell your home.</p>
