Who is Sue Blanchet
A lifetime Victoria local. Sue has lived in all the coveted neighbourhoods. Growing up in Gordon Head, in Saanich East, attending Fairburn Elementary, Arbutus Jr. High, where she played basketball with Steve Nash, and Mount Doug Senior Secondary. Her roots are deep and her connections are wide. In 1992 she began her 8 year stint at the University of Victoria where she continued to expand her Victoria Network. During these years Sue lived in Oak Bay, James Bay, Fairfield and in a lovely home on the Gorge Waterway while completing her Law Degree in 2002. She grew up sailing with her family, and continues the family heritage of boating on the West Coast following in the footsteps of her Great Aunt, Wylie “Capi” Blanchet, author of the Curve of Time, captaining a sailboat with her three young sons exploring the route Capi and Captain Vancouver, before her, followed through the Gulf Islands and countless inlets Beautiful British Columbia’s Coast has to offer.
Her passion for real estate started young, purchasing her first home at age 21 and her second with a four bedroom suite, renovated by her from the studs up, shortly after Law School. She has always watched the Victoria Market and followed Real Estate trends. Her love of mathematics and statistics (yes it’s true!) will give you a competitive advantage with the CMA’s and supporting statistics she will provide for you.
Sue is also very familiar with customer service; if you ever came through her till at Fairways and Thrifty Foods in the 90’s or were served a cold beverage or a fine meal at Hugo’s, Capital Steak House, Maude Hunter’s Pub, The Monkey Tree, Canoe Club, Il Terrazzo Ristorante or another of Victoria’s fine dining establishments then you know she always provides exceptional service with a smile. In addition to knowing how to make clients happy, Sue consistently had Top Sales in every position. Her friends and family know how dedicated she is, often working two or three jobs while attending full time classes at UVIC for 8 years..oh and she also bought a house in 2nd year Uni and had her first son in 2nd year Law School…if you need someone to burn the candle at both ends to help you achieve your Home Buying or Selling goals…you came to the right place.
With three amazing sons ages 10, 12 & 15, she is also an avid volunteer and provincially licensed soccer coach, coaching locally with the Bays United and Saanich Fusion Soccer Clubs for 10 years. In 2013 Sue completed certification to obtain her B-Provincial License.
She loves playing sports too! Growing up she played competitive soccer, fastball and basketball. She continues to play all three and has a passion for athletics. Her sons are all top level athletes playing competitive lacrosse, soccer, football and basketball. Sue even hoped on a plane once to attend Game Six of the Stanley Cup Finals in Boston….but we all know how that ended.
In her spare time she can be found cheering on her boys, racing sailboats at RVYC or cruising around Beautiful Victoria B.C. on her motorcycle getting a first hand look at Victoria Properties for you!
