We were forced to evict by property manager in early May, and we were expected to move out by the end of June. He alleged that someone was waiting to rent our unit and willing to pay 30% more over the rent we were paying. In late May, We asked Ivy to bring us to look at some rental units in the market. We looked at properties in north, and then we wanted to go to south by ourselves. She acted agilely and identified several units for us to look at in south as well. We came to a favourable target by then, but succumbed to peer pressure, we worried that the number of units we reviewed was not sufficient enough. Then we asked Ivy to find a few more rental units for us to view, although the results were not as good as the one we saw in the first day, but it is just for the sake of feeling at ease. We wanted to replace the floors, and Ivy managed to ask the seller to give the door keys again. She also helped us to connect with the lawyer, because he hardly responded to our call while we were rushing for the deadline. Later on, after we moved into the new home, the property manager of the old house came to push us again to compensate him for some minor defect. In fact, Ivy did not have to bother, but she gave us a solid ground to evaluate the situation, understanding what it is to be a professional property manager. Then we gained the confidence to fight back that property manager, not surrendered to his abusive behaviour. Some people say Ivy is pushing, but I think it is justified. The current market is seller market, so she is just acting for the buyer benefit. All in all, I recommend you who are looking for a property to seek advice from Ivy.
