Carlos Damian Soto Naranjo

Story; We both came to Canada in 2019. We stayed in a shelter for almost a year. I got pregnant. We have been through a lot together, fighting for our dreams together. We put our baby girl first especially before she was born. We tried to find a house before I gave birth. I went to a different shelter before giving birth. It was difficult for my husband to visit me due to COVID-19. That was the hardest thing ever! I was alone and couldn't see him for weeks. We started looking for a house everywhere, different websites and different apps. We applied to so many properties but they refused us because we were refugees and our income wasn't stable. My husband found a nice apartment, he promised me that we would get this place! He even asked me to stop looking for another place because he had faith in God. I started feeling tired, I gave up and wanted to change our plan but he promised me again that we would move in together soon. He went to see the apartment with the agent – Damian, at that day my husband called me to say hi to Damian! He seemed nice. My husband told him our background and story, Damian told my husband that he would help us. I met many agents who gave up and didn't want to help us because our situation was different and difficult. Damian was always there to help and answer our questions and tried to make it easy for us. And we did it! We moved to the apartment. My husband and I kept saying "Damian was sent from God to help us, he is an angel!" After few days, Damian and his lovely girlfriend visited us and brought a beautiful gift for us and our baby girl. - what we have been through wasn't easy, we just want to thank Damian Soto for everything. We appreciate his help and his hard working.
