Brent was recommended to me through a mutual friend and it was a fantastic experience overall. He was very succinct and clear to me that he understood our situation, reviewed what he believed to be our primary goals in the sale, and confirmed what our top priorities were. It's one thing for someone to sell your home, but it's a totally different thing to have your realtor care about WHY you want to sell your home. Over the course of the next few months, Brent was not only very prompt with his communication but he was also fantastic about bringing forth his knowledge to the table but with the clear understanding that the decisions was still up to us. As we weathered the real estate market, Brent inevitably had to ask us to lower the price. During this meeting he not only brought forward clear rational points behind his decision making process, but he also brought many examples of current homes that had also dropped their prices with step by step comparisons on why our home was comparable. At no point did I ever feel pressured to lower our asking price, in fact I felt encouraged because Brent had provided me the depth and breadth of his personal knowledge so that I could see for myself why this was a logical decision based on all the factors in my neighbourhood. I felt empowered as a seller by his work and I felt that I was making the right decision and not just taking Brent for his word. When our home did sell, Brent was also there to recommend legal assistance to ease the process as much as possible. It was nice to have a few recommended lawyers that he worked with that knew his process and were quick to streamline the sale. In a process as complicated as buying or selling home, I think it's very important to have someone in your corner that you feel is your ally and has your best interests at heart and not just that commission. I do believe Brent is that realtor and you would be wise to have him in your corner.
